Women Warriors Buried at Pokrovka

Mortuary Offerings from the burial of a young warrior.

1. bronze arrowhead and an amulet made from leather worn around her
neck which held another bronze arrowhead. The arrowheads had been in a
quiver made from small branches and leather.
2. An iron dagger.
3. Two sea shells from north of the Caspian Sea which were fossilized when
they were put in her burial.
4. A 'pseudo' sea shell, a natural stone which holds a whilte substance, possible used for some magical or cultic ceremony. The shell was worked only along one short section of the edge.
